Due to the weather- the Berkshire Dream Center will be closed today for church! The 11:00 and 1:00 service is cancelled. Stay safe today! The weather is supposed to get bad again.

The volunteer potluck will be rescheduled to next Sunday from 2:30-4:30!!!! This is to celebrate the New Year together as a Dream Center family!!! 

 

Due to the winter storm into tomorrow morning, the Berkshire Dream Center 11:00 service has been cancelled. We will be having our 1:00 service and invite you to join us! Our church lunch will be after service at 2:00! Stay safe and God bless!

Our staff and volunteers of the Berkshire Dream Center will be enjoying time with their families and loved ones; so we will be closed from December 24th-December 29th and again on New Years Eve. We will be open for Sunday services on December 30th @ 11:00 & 1:00.

We will be handing out Christmas presents tonight in Pittsfield to all of the families who signed up with our "Giving Tree" program. Then this Saturday, we will be handing out the ones in North Adams! Thank you to EVERYONE who made it possible to sponsor 173 people this year!!! God bless you all!!!!

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to "Cherry Street Lights the Night," to come together as a community and celebrate the spirit of Christmas!  It was a great turn out and a heck of a party!!! Pictures will be posted soon!

We are absolutely distraught at the tragedy that unfolded today in CT. Please join us in prayer for the families who are grieving. We will have a moment of silence at our event tomorrow evening before the rest of the program, out of respect for the lives that were so tragically taken.

Come celebrate the joy of Christmas as you walk into a winter wonderland with Christmas carols, the Christmas story, live music, cookies, and a special presentation! Also Santa will be there for all the kids!!!Let's come together as a community this holiday season to enjoy and embrace the spirit of Christmas!  Make sure to bundle up because this event will be outside as you are surrounded by white lights!

This event is completely FREE!! Hot chocolate, cookies, and coffee will be on at 5:00!
The blizzard date is December 22nd from 5:30-7:00.

Last Nights "5 for Free Movie Food Drive" was a huge success!!!! Thank you Scott Ingalls and the North Adams Movieplex for putting on this event and blessing so many people in the local community!!! We had over 135 people come out to give back and collected over 800 items of food!!!! Thank you everyone who made this possible!!!!!!

We invite you to join us for service tomorrow at the Berkshire Dream Center as we begin our Christmas series, "The Gift!" Service starts at 1:00 with a full kids program and then lunch on us at 2:00. We would love you to join us as we celebrate the true meaning of Christmas!

We are so excited to announce that we only have 8 bulbs left out of 163 our Christmas "Giving Tree" program!! This means that if you haven't had the chance to sponsor someone this Christmas from your community- YOU STILL HAVE TIME! Trees with the last bulbs remaining are located at our Pittsfield location, Patti's Hair Port & Day Spa in Pittsfield and our North Adams location!

I am so excited to announce that starting Sunday, December 9th we will be moving to 2 church services at the Berkshire Dream Center!!! This change is being made to accommodate the large numbers we have been getting every week! Our first service will be at 11:00 and then our second will stay at the same time at 1:00! Coffee and lunch will be served in between both at 12:30!!! We will have a children's program for both services!! Invite a friend because there is plenty of room!

We are looking for a children's church teacher who would love to be part of a new inner city church! We have a great group of kids who want to learn about God, and love coming to church! The opportunity would be for every Sunday with services being at 11:00 & 1:00! We are located in Pittsfield, MA at 41 Cherry Street. This is a great opportunity to get experience and learn what it is like to be part of a ground breaking ministry! What a great weekend at BDC! We hope that you had a great Thanksgiving with your friends and family!!! This past weekend was off the hook! We hit the streets in North Adams with our Adopt A Block program and caught up with our friends on River St. and Chase Ave. It was great checking in with them to see how their holiday was!

Service yesterday was great with people giving their lives over to the Lord. That's what it is all about: Lives being changed and transformed by the love of God! Let's make sure to keep our focus where it should be and on the basics! God is good!! So excited for what is in store. God is bringing an army of people who are coming to know and love Him. There are great things in store for Berkshire County!

I just want to say, thank you everyone who dedicated your day to pour your life into others who had their lives turned upside down from the recent hurricane! It was such an honor to work alongside of you all day in Long Island! What a blessing to be able to work on the firefighter's homes- to take care of our 1st responders so they can take care of others!!! Thank you BDC team you rock!!!!

Thanksgiving sign-ups in North Adams start tomorrow! Sign-ups will begin at 12:30 and go until 2:00 at the Vietnam Veterans Place at 30 River Street.

 

The first 30 families to sign up will recieve a turkey, vegetables, stuffing and cranberry sauce to take home and cook for their family! The pick up day and location will be given at the time of sign-up.

 

Don't forget that we are open tonight at the COTY Center at the 1st Congregational Church in North Adams from 5-7pm!

 

Relief Trip to Long Island

The Berkshire Dream Center will be doing a trip to New York with the New England Dream Center to help other churches with their relief efforts from hurricane Sandy.

We are collecting supplies for this trip!! Here is what are in great need of!!

-Shovels, water, coats, hats, gloves, candles and blankets!! If you would like to help those still recovering from the devestation you can drop off these items at any of our locations!!!!!!

The City of Refuge is a children's home that takes kids off the streets of Jamaica and gives them hope and a future. It is a great place to go and pour your life into! An update from the City of Refuge:
Please continue to keep everyone in your prayers...the property has sustained damage, but everyone is ok!.....The caretakers house and the Blue house lost their roofs and the dining room received damage. The directors house took on a lot of water, as well as the other buildings....The dorms flooded where the children are.....Pray for them tonight as they try to go to sleep and then get up and start the process of assessing and clean-up....thanks for all your continued prayers!
